FAQs

Why is some of my jewellery named after women?

My jewellery items are named after women I know and love. Women who have inspired me to be the best version of myself. The women I am surrounded by possess unique strengths, each fighting their own personal battles. However, what truly sets them apart is their unwavering positivity and optimism in facing life's challenges. It is these remarkable qualities that serve as my inspiration to craft these collections. I am captivated by their intricacies and imperfections, their undeniable beauty, and the bond of friendship they share. When designing jewelry, I envision pieces that would bring them joy, boost their confidence, and reflect the same level of beauty that their friendship holds for me. These handmade jewelry pieces serve as cherished mementos of the profound friendships I have with these incredible women who know exactly who they are.

Can I personalise an order?

Certainly, crafting personalized jewelry for individuals is my utmost passion! Feel free to reach out to me, and we can schedule a convenient time to discuss your preferences. Moreover, if you wish to incorporate specific words or engravings into a piece (subject to feasibility, as it may not be possible for certain items), simply send me a message detailing your desired specifications.

How long does it take to receive my bespoke jewellery?

The outcome greatly relies on the nature of the project and the workload I currently have. If you have a specific timeframe, it is crucial to inform me right from the beginning of our design process, as certain designs may not be achievable within certain deadlines. I will make every effort to meet your deadline and will be transparent with you if it is unattainable.

What if I don't like my bespoke item?

I will put in a great deal of effort to ensure that you are satisfied with and comprehend every element of the design prior to commencing work, making it highly improbable that you will dislike it. However, if you really don’t like it, don’t worry, I will work with you until we get it right!

Can I cancel my bespoke order?

Once you have given me the go-ahead and the first half of the paymetn has been paid the commission has been started. The first half of the payment will not be refunded. I will take every effort to ensure you are happy with your decision before we proceed with the commission.

How will I know if my order has been accepted?

You will receive an email to the email address that you provided, stating your order has been placed. You will also receive an email when I have fulfilled your order.

How will my order be packaged?

Your order will be packaged up in a FCS (Forest Stewardship Council is a non-profit organisation dedicated to promoting responsible forestry) produced postal box. The jewellery will be carefully folded into a pocket of tissue paper which is made from recycled materials, is recyclable and also vegan. The tissue is sealed with a paper sticker which is made from 100% recycled paper and is Eco-friendly. The jewellery is, where possible, placed in a cardboard jewellery box with my logo on it which has been made using materials from a FSC forest. This box is also fully recyclable. My business cards are made from recycled materials and are themselves recyclable. The brown paper tape which secures the box is acid free, vegan and fully recyclable. I have put a lot of effort into choosing packing that I believe will have as little impact on the environment as possible, so I would ask that you please re-use where possible or recycle responsibly.

I’d like to buy a ring but I don’t know my finger size.

It is advisable to visit a nearby jeweller and request a measurement for your finger. Ensure that you specifically measure the finger on which you intend to wear the ring. In case this is not feasible, you can use a piece of string. Wrap the string around the knuckle of the desired finger, making sure it fits comfortably without being too loose or tight. Then, measure the length of the string in millimeters. Once you have obtained the measurement, please reach out to me, and I will create your ring based on that measurement. When the ring is made but does not fit it is due to the wrong measurment being taken, please ensure this is correct before going ahead with purchasing.

How do I know what necklace length to buy?

To determine the most suitable length for a necklace, it is advisable to examine your existing necklaces that you find appealing in terms of length. Measure them to identify the closest match to the lengths I provide. In case you do not possess a necklace of the desired length, you can use a ribbon as a substitute. Simply position the ribbon where you would like the pendant to rest on your chest and measure the ribbon accordingly. If you desire a length that is not listed in the dropdown menu, please feel free to contact me to explore possible alternatives.

What size bangle should I buy?

Finding a solid one piece bangle that is the right size is more about the circumference of the widest part of your hand, than the size of your wrist.

What is the difference between a hallmark and a stamping?

A hallmark is a legal marking that must appear on all silver items that weigh over 7.78 grams, all gold items that weigh over 1 gram and all platinum items that weigh over 0.5 of a gram. A hallmark consists of 3 compulsory components; a makers mark which tells you who made the article, the standard mark which tells you the fineness of the material, and the assay office mark which tells you where the item was struck. The other mark which is not a legal requirement but you will see fairly often is a date letter which tells you what year the item was hallmarked. A stamping is simply a stamp that a marker has placed on an item, this is usually to represent the type of material the item is made from, for example; SIL or 9ct for silver or 9ct gold. This is not a legal hallmark and is just an indication of the material used. Stamps are often used for items which do not cross the hallmarking weight restrictions. You will find both methods employed on my jewellery, if however you would like a stamped item fully hallmarked you can request this at an extra cost, just get in touch.

What if what I ordered just isn't me, or the recipient of the gift doesnt like it?

Try not to worry wherever possible I will try to help out as much as I can. It is important to me that my customers enjoy wearing their jewellery as much as I enjoyed making it and if that’s not the case I would like to help make that better for you! However please do bear in mind that not all items can be returned, for example; earrings can’t be returned for hygiene reasons and jewellery that has been specifically personalised for you is non refundable.
